The 30-year-old NY man who was evicted from his parents' home by a judge after they took him to court has moved out two and a half hours before his court-ordered deadline.

According to the court's order, Rotondo must be out of his parents' home by noon on Friday.

He reportedly waved to reporters and honked his horn as he pulled out of the driveway eight years after moving back in, rent-free.

Rotondo's parents claim that they pleaded with their son, who had lived in their suburban NY house for eight years, to get a job, and even offered him money to find a place of his own.

During his move, Rotondo called police because he believed his 8-year-old son's Legos were in the basement and his dad wouldn't let him look for them. A judge ordered him to leave by June 1.

In the end, Rotondo was allowed to take the toys and leave home.

Mark and Christina Rotondo brought the court case against their son after several eviction letters offering money and other help were ignored.

On Friday, Rotondo stood outside the place he once called home but had some trouble before then.

Officers arrived and the Lego bricks were found in the meantime, the newspaper said. Rotondo refused the judge's request to work things out directly with his parents, who sat quietly nearby.

In a brief phone interview with CNN, Michael Rotondo said he left the house because "I had to be out by today".

Michael Rotondo has told local media he is battling for custody of his son. "I don't have to guess what's behind Door No. 1".

Telling reporters that he will never talk to his parents again, the 30-year-old said: "I think it's really unfair that I'm not going to get enough time to really prepare a good move".

Rotondo had never contributed to any household expenses or assisted in any household chores after moving back in eight years ago, according to papers filed with the NY court.
