In case you still had any doubts about Serena Williams' GOAT status (but seriously, why would you?), the tennis champion is here to prove you wrong again.

Serena Williams will be favourite for a fourth French Open title if she survives into the second week, former men's champion Jim Courier believes.

Serena Williams' Grand Slam return continued with a three-set comeback win over Australia's 17th seed Ashleigh Barty in the French Open second round.

The 36-year-old, who gave birth to baby Alexis Olympia in September, struggled badly in the first set but grew into the match. "I just didn't make any shots", Williams said after the match, as per BBC.

"I feel like a warrior in it, like a warrior princess kind of, queen from Wakanda maybe", she said smiling, following her opening round victory over Kristyna Pliskova at the French Open on Tuesday.

'I think any time you play against Serena you know what you're up against, ' the 28th seed said.

It's hard to understate how poorly Williams played in that first set.

Her first grand slam action in over 15 months had the Paris fashionistas in a whirl as she walked on court in a black bodysuit with a bright pink belt. Sharapova, who is on a quarter-final collision course with 2016 champion Garbine Muguruza of Spain, was waiting for her moment.

However, the big risk is that Beijing won't have any confidence in Ross to make a deal that Trump will accept. That deal was separate from the U.S. investigation into China's alleged theft of intellectual property.

Williams is now cruising through the opening stages of the 2018 French Open and has attracted attention for her Black Panther style catsuit, an outfit that makes her feel "like a warrior princess" from Wakanda.

But the American insisted it was crucial to help prevent a return of life-threatening blood clots.

"It's not a typical outfit". "You know the challenge that is upon you".

Williams, who returned to tennis in March, was asked about her chances at Roland Garros - a tournament she last won in 2015.

"I have definitely always had that will to win".

"However, my outfit is actually functional for me, because I had a lot of health issues".

"I managed to stay aggressive and I played smart as well", said Sharapova.

The Russian, victor in Paris in 2012 and 2014, is seeded at a major for the first time since testing positive for meldonium two years ago.
