In her various tweets since ABC's shocking decision to cancel "Roseanne" in the wake of her racist tweet about former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, Barr had vowed to tell her side of the story on Rogan's podcast.

Ashleigh Koss, a spokeswoman for the North America region of Sanofi, the maker of Ambien, said in a written statement Wednesday, "While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication".

After her firing, Barr said she was leaving Twitter, but has continued making several statements, including one where she blamed the sleep aid Ambien for the tweets that resulted in the show's cancellation. "I will examine all of my options carefully and get back to U".

In another tweet Barr apologised to actor Jayden Rey, who played Mary Connor, the daughter of DJ and his African American wife Geena on the show.

"In fact, I tweeted a lot because I figured someone would take her phone away or monitor that, because it's risky when you have that much money on a show", Tom said.

Roseanne's show was cancelled after she referred to Jarrett as an "ape" and suggested she was a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood political movement.

Barr sparked widespread anger, including at ABC, with a since-deleted tweet comparing Valerie Jarrett, an adviser to President Barack Obama, to an ape. ABC executives chose to cancel the show after Roseanne Barr made racially charged remarks about a former Obama aide.

"I can not apologize enough for those I may have offended that do not know me or where my heart is for ALL people in this community", Moritz wrote in her apology.

She then tweeted, "i honestly thought she was Jewish and Persian-ignorant of me for sure, but...i did". Now, amid the backlash and immediately following Barr's tweet, consulting producer and renowned comedian Wanda Sykes said that she wouldn't be returning to the show.

The network had already ordered a second season of "Roseanne", which was one of the most-watched shows on TV. "If your racism lasts longer than four hours, please see a doctor".

The ad goes on to state that users should use Ambien if "you've ever asked when will there be a White History Month", used the phrase "I'm not racist, but ..." and "if you've previously tweeted racist things that your boss forgot about".

"I think it was a reasonable bet to take, and it worked until it didn't", Ancier said.

After being axed, Barr announced she would be leaving Twitter. Responding to Fishman's statement on Wednesday, Barr tweeted, "I created the platform for that inclusivity and you know it. ME".

The president also complained to Mr Iger a day earlier.

The original Roseanne ran from 1988 to 1997, featuring a blue-collar family, the Conners, with overweight parents struggling to get by.
