The Late Late Show With James Corden airs on CBS at 12:37 a.m. ET.

James Corden picked up a primo passenger for a carpool ride whilst in England on Thursday night: Paul McCartney.

The trip ended with a stop at a local pub, where they surprised patrons with a performance they'll never forget.

Paul McCartney joins James Corden on very memorable episode of Carpool Karaoke.

He added: "She gave me the positive word".

"During the brilliant, extended sketch, McCartney (with Corden) sang the Beatles songs "Drive My Car", Penny Lane" and "Let it Be". I hope you like it.

Even Corden himself agreed that it was his favourite edition of the show to date. I felt so bad when it came out in the press - "Foo Fighters had a awful time, they hated the whole fucking thing".

White House official says president misspoke on immigration bill
Saddling the debate is mounting public outrage from both sides of the aisle over families being ripped apart at the border. SNELL: The White House knew this. "Having children does not give you immunity from arrest and prosecution", Sessions said.

"Your music is so full of positivity and joy and a message of love and togetherness", Corden said to McCartney.

The Beatles expected their music to last 10 years, Sir Paul says, but it keeps "going on and on and on".

The singer then went on to share a bit of background on the origins of one of their most uplifting songs, "Let It Be", off the band's final studio album in 1970.

Their conversation got emotional as McCartney recounted a dream he'd had where his mother reassured him everything was going to be OK.

As they made their way down the road, the song began to play on the radio and the former Beatle sang along before they left the vehicle and the singer signed his autograph on the road sign.

Corden labelled it "the most attractive story" he has ever heard, before the pair perform a version of it.

As part of the video, the pair embarked on a journey around McCartney's hometown, visiting Penny Lane and his family home, which he saw for the first time in 50 years.
