This comes after the release of Nike's newest "Just Do it" campaign, featuring Colin Kaepernick, who spearheaded a protest movement against social injustice by kneeling during the national anthem.

For those of you who may not remember, Kaepernick played for San Francisco before he took a knee protesting police brutality during the national anthem. "I guarantee they could get more from a smile on a child's face than a symbolic burning of a pair of shoes".

On Wednesday, Tennis star, Serena Williams spoke out in support of Kaepernick, both have endorsement deals with Nike.

The new ad campaign featuring Kaepernick was released Monday in honor of the 30th anniversary of the "Just Do It" slogan.

Kaepernick tells viewers to "believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything", which is a less-than-subtle hint at Kaepernick's own actions during his time in the NFL.

President Trump, who has repeatedly slammed the players' protests, also weighed in, saying in an interview with The Daily Caller that the deal with Kaepernick sends "a awful message".

"I mean, it's unbelievable that you see that there are some people out there who really support what he stands for and what he's doing".

The two-minute spot, titled "Dream Crazy", is narrated by Kaepernick and showcases a montage of multiple inspirational sports-related stories from amateur and pro athletes.

The College of the Ozarks says it's dropping its affiliation with Nike in response to the company's new ad campaign. "Ask if they're insane enough", James replied with the sportswear giants' motto: "#JustDoIt". Many American right-wingers were so outraged that they chose to burn Nike clothing that they had already paid for.

Kaepernick, however, insists National Football League is talking out of both sides of its mouth and has sued the National Football League, accusing team owners of colluding to bar him from getting another contract.

An arbitrator recently denied the NFL's request to dismiss Kaepernick's collusion complaint.
