Chad Kelly Arrested On Criminal Trespass Charge Denver Broncos: Chad Kelly situation fallout for the Broncos

Denver Broncos backup quarterback Chad Kelly was arrested for trespassing after a weird incident in Englewood, Colorado in which the 24-year old was allegedly chased out of someone's home before eventually being apprehended by police.

Police found Kelly inside of a black auto near the Gothic Theatre and, after confirming the trespassing using security footage of the incident, sent Kelly to Arapahoe County Jail. It's not clear if he has an attorney to comment on the case.

Kelly is alleged to have entered a couple's home without permission early in the morning, and sat down on a couch near the front door next to a woman and her young child.

The records say the man chased the intruder out, striking him in the back with a vacuum tube.

After taking Kelly in the seventh round of the 2017 Draft, Elway said that Kelly's uncle, Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly, vouched for him amid all of the off-field issues he had faced.

The Broncos have released a brief statement on the matter: "We are disappointed that Chad Kelly was arrested early this morning". Rapoport says Elway is "extremely angry" and all options, including releasing the second-year quarterback, are still on the table.

Kelly, who was the last player picked in the 2016 draft, hasn't attempted a pass in the regular season.

Yikes. Kelly didn't look THAT wonked out in his mugshot, although perhaps he's smiling because he's not entirely aware of the full circumstances of what happened?

The only other quarterback on the Broncos roster is Kevin Hogan, a third-year pro from Stanford who was awarded to Denver off waivers from Washington last month.

Elway, who played in the National Football League at the same time as Jim Kelly, remains close friends with the former Bills QB.

He was kicked off the Clemson team in 2014 after arguing with coaches during the spring game.

In October 2016, he was involved in a brawl at his brother's high school football game in NY. The GM doesn't want to hear about what you did.
