The California farm linked to the romaine lettuce E. coli infections has now recalled other products as a precaution.

Farming of Santa Maria said it is recalling red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce and cauliflower harvested at its farm in late November "out of an abundance of caution".

None of the recalled products have tested positive for E. coli and no illnesses have been reported, the company said. And the company is asking that all its customers notify the "downline chain of custody" to make sure the recall is full and complete. The notice states that "filtered and treated water from the reservoir may have come into contact with the produce after it was harvested".

Adam Bros Farming added that none of the filtered, treated water has yet tested positive for E. coli and that all E. coli tests are returning negative.

In cases of severe illness, some people may have seizures or strokes, need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis or live with permanent kidney damage.
