Worldwide golfer Jyoti Randhawa was arrested by UP forest authorities in an alleged poaching incident near Dudhwa Tiger Reserve in Motipur range of Katerniaghat on Wednesday.

At the time arrest, a wild boar skin, dead jungle fowl and a.22 rifle were recovered from Randhawa's vehicle.

A fire arm was seized from Randhawa, whose full name is Jyotinder Singh Randhawa. A combined team of forest officials, range staff and STPF (Special Tiger Protection Force) jawans intercepted a vehicle on suspicious accounts in Motipur Range of Katerniaghat. Randhawa, 46, has eight career wins on the Asian Tour and has appeared in six major championships, with his best finish being a T27 at the 2004 British Open. To let you know, Randhawa is active in playing golf since 1994.

Randhawa is the former husband of Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh while Mahesh Veerajdaar is a former army captain and a resident of Maharashtra. For those uninitiated, Chitrangda and Randhawa have a son named Zorawar together.
